How To Ripen Avocados in 30 Minutes

If you need to ripen avocados quickly, here’s a method that can have them ready in about 30 minutes:

The Oven Method: Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).

Wrap the avocado in aluminum foil. This helps trap heat and speeds up the ripening process.

Place the wrapped avocado on a baking sheet and put it in the oven.

Heat for 10 to 15 minutes, then check the avocado. Gently squeeze it to see if it’s softened to your liking. If not, put it back in the oven for a few more minutes.

Cool before use: Let the avocado cool down for a few minutes before cutting it open.

If you’re in a pinch, after using the oven, you can also place the avocado in a brown paper bag with an apple or banana to enhance ripening due to ethylene gas.
