You lose 12 minutes of your life every time you drink a Coke

A recent study suggests that consuming sugary drinks like Coca-Cola may significantly impact your lifespan.

Researchers found that each can of Coke or other sugar-sweetened beverage could reduce your life expectancy by 12 minutes.

This is primarily due to the high sugar content, which contributes to health issues such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and metabolic syndrome.

A standard can of Coke contains around 39 grams of sugar, exceeding the daily recommended limit for added sugars

Regular consumption can lead to chronic inflammation and increased risk of diseases, ultimately shortening life expectancy.

Additionally, sugary drinks provide empty calories, offering no nutritional benefits while increasing the likelihood of weight gain.

The study underscores the importance of reducing sugary drink intake and opting for healthier alternatives, like water, herbal teas, or naturally flavored sparkling water
