2 storms to bring some of the highest snow totals of season to major cities

The U.S. is bracing for two major winter storms this week, expected to bring some of the highest snow totals of the season to major cities.

The first storm is moving across the Plains and Midwest, bringing heavy snowfall and icy conditions.

By Tuesday night, snow will spread into the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, affecting cities like Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York City.

Winter weather alerts have been issued from Colorado to the East Coast, warning of dangerous travel conditions and possible power outages.

A second, stronger storm is set to arrive by midweek, potentially bringing blizzard conditions to parts of the Northeast and Great Lakes region.

Boston, Washington D.C., and New England could see over a foot of snow, making this one of the most impactful winter events of the season.

As temperatures drop and roads become treacherous, residents are urged to stay informed, stock up on essentials, and avoid unnecessary travel.
