How blueberries help to kill cancer cells

Blueberries are rich in antioxidants, specifically anthocyanins and other flavonoids, which have been shown to have cancer-fighting properties.

These antioxidants help combat oxidative stress by neutralizing free radicals, reducing inflammation, and protecting healthy cells from damage that could lead to cancer.

Research indicates that the compounds in blueberries may help inhibit the growth and proliferation of cancer cells while promoting apoptosis (cell death) in cancerous cells

The high concentration of polyphenols in blueberries also interferes with pathways that contribute to cancer progression

such as those involved in tumor development, angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels), and metastasis (spread of cancer cells).

Additionally, blueberries support immune function, helping the body better detect and destroy abnormal cells.

Their anti-inflammatory properties also play a crucial role in reducing the chronic inflammation linked to cancer development.
