Italian Baked Pasta Recipe

– 12 oz pasta (penne, ziti, or rigatoni) – 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade) – 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese – 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese – 1/2 tsp dried oregano – 1/2 tsp garlic powder – Salt and pepper to taste – 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta until al dente, following the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large bowl, toss the cooked pasta with marinara sauce, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Make sure the pasta is fully coated with sauce.

Stir in 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella cheese, reserving 1/2 cup for the topping. Add half of the Parmesan cheese as well.

Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top. Drizzle with a little olive oil for extra richness (optional)
