There’s still time to catch the stunning Quadrantids meteor shower

The Quadrantids meteor shower, known for its brilliant, fast-moving meteors, is reaching its peak, and there's still time to catch this spectacular celestial display.

Running through early January, the Quadrantids offer one of the most intense meteor showers of the year, with up to 120 meteors per hour under optimal viewing conditions.

Unlike other meteor showers, the Quadrantids have a short, sharp peak, which means you'll need to catch them at just the right time for the best view

The peak is expected to occur during the first few days of January, with the best viewing conditions after midnight and before dawn.

Skywatchers should look toward the northeastern sky, where the radiant point of the Quadrantids lies near the constellation Bootes.

However, meteors can appear in all parts of the sky, so find a dark, open area away from city lights to maximize your chances of spotting the shower.

This is a must-see event for stargazers, offering a dazzling display of streaking meteors across the night sky. Don’t miss your chance to witness this breathtaking natural phenomenon before it fades away!
