Will spring come early? NOAA releases weather predictions for every state
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has released its Spring 2024 Outlook, providing forecasts for temperature and precipitation across the United States from April through June.
Temperature Outlook:
NOAA anticipates above-average temperatures for most of the U.S. during this period.
A broad swath of the country, from Arizona all the way up to Maine, is favored to see above-average temperatures over the next three months.
Precipitation Outlook:
In terms of precipitation, the Southeast is expected to experience wetter conditions, while other regions may see drier-than-normal conditions.
Regional Highlights:
Northeast (including New York and Boston): The region is projected to have above-average temperatures, with precipitation levels near normal.
Mid-Atlantic (including Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia): Similar to the Northeast, expect above-average temperatures and near-normal precipitation.
Southeast: This area is forecasted to experience above-average temperatures and wetter-than-normal conditions.
